Great Angsty Moments
Many people have had their say about David's acting style and how it is or is not effective, particularly when it comes to the particularly angsty moments that TXF has produced. I leave it up to you to think back on these and decide whether or not you felt exactly what Mulder was feeling...

The showdown with Modell... great tension and emotion and brilliantly acted. |

Again, an episode with many moments to choose from. "Help me, Scully" was mentioned, along with the morgue scene where he realizes that while it's not Samantha, it's still someone's little girl. |
Laugh Out Loud Moments
Contrary to "popular belief" — i.e., the belief of those who don't watch the show — Fox Mulder is not perpetually dark and humourless. The following is just a brief sampling of all the times that DD's made us laugh with this character.

My personal "killer moment". DD just cracks me up with his reaction work in the scene where Luke Wilson's Sheriff Hartwell makes his first appearance in Mulder's version of the story. When the famous buck teeth are revealed, the look on Mulder's face is just priceless! |

Eddie's impersonation of Robert DeNiro: "You talkin' to me??" Also, the "F...B...I" declaration. |

The Fox Mulder rendition of "Shaft" whilst under the influence of chloral hydrate is one for the history books. Ditto his attempt to fend off the vampires with his cross made from breadsticks... |
